This comprehensive day is focused on the LE and typical etiologies for lower extremity wounds. Curriculum to be delivered will be on assessment, documentation, prevention, intervention, patient education, referral, and continued follow-up in an effort to prevent recurrence, amputation, and septicemia.

This course has been designed for the therapist and nurse dealing with upper extremity and hand injuries. Topics will include topical wound care, use of adjunctive therapies, edema, lymphedema management, and factors affecting healing.
